I’m Benjamin C. Grimm

When I was younger, I wanted to put stories on a movie screen.
When I got older, I realized the best camera is a blank page.

Growing up in Sweden, China, and Italy, I never stayed in one place long enough to call it home. I ended up thinking in English better than I think in Swedish, and collecting more perspectives than I knew what to do with. So I built a world to put them all in.

Odyssey was built to make you laugh on one page and lose your breath on the next. I was told you can’t do that, that readers need time to recover, that tone has to be consistent. I disagree. Life doesn’t wait for you to process the last thing before it throws the next one at you, and neither does this book.

It is the first of three volumes. Genesis, the second, is in the works and explores the Valley’s past. The third is called Terminus and will conclude Leah’s story. But the Valley is bigger than one story, and I intend to build every corner of it.

I operate through Grimm Group AB, a Swedish creative studio that will eventually extend beyond publishing. For now though, the books come first.

And yes, the name on the cover is the real one.
